Hi, I'm Monika. I'm a portrait photographer based in North Bend, Washington, and I create images for people who believe photographs are one of the most meaningful things you can own. If you've landed here, you probably feel the same way.
I photograph throughout the Snoqualmie Valley, Issaquah, Bellevue, and the wider Seattle area — and I genuinely believe we live in one of the most photographically breathtaking places in the world. Cascade mountain backdrops. Cherry blossom parks. Wildflower meadows. Mossy autumn forests. Puget Sound shorelines at golden hour. The Pacific Northwest gives every portrait a backdrop that the rest of the country simply cannot replicate.
Why I became a photographer
I've always been drawn to the moments that slip away before you can hold them a child's laugh mid-spin, the way a couple looks at each other when they think no one is watching, the pride on a senior's face as she stands on the edge of her next chapter.
What started as a deep love of fine art and a fascination with light has grown into a business built entirely around one conviction: everyone deserves portraits they are genuinely proud of. Not just "nice." Not just "good enough for social media." Portraits that feel like you.
Based in the heart of the Snoqualmie Valley, I'm your neighbor and there is something special about being photographed by someone who knows this land as intimately as you do.
My style what fine art portrait photography actually means
My editing style leans cinematic and luminous rich, warm tones that feel real and timeless, retouching that preserves natural skin texture rather than erasing it, and a color grade that gives portraits an elevated, heirloom quality. These are images you frame and hang, not just save to your phone.

Every season tells a different story
One of the things I love most about shooting in the Pacific Northwest is that every season offers something completely different — and completely stunning.
Cherry blossom season in early spring transforms parks into a soft pink dreamscape. Summer brings wildflower meadows and golden evening light. Autumn dresses the Valley in copper and crimson. Even winter, with its soft grey light and mist-draped forests, creates portraits with a haunting, ethereal quality that no other region can match.
